On campus in early autumn
Mid-morning light slants across age-worn brick,
Red and orange leaves of great oaks glow

Recalled with wistful pleasure,
Though long ago
I see her even now

A svelte girl, in a winter coat rushing by
Dark hair swaying, she steps upon the curb
An image, caught forever—

Her graceful stride, trim ankles,
The shapely calf muscle flexes—
And she passes from view

Her name unknown,
Her face unseen,
One electric moment remains

Sorry for the cliche but this once again is poetry in motion. Beautiful...!!

A poetic experience and the poem is written quite well but there is also "talk" which drags the text somewhat toward the boring : "Recalled with wistful pleasure", "I see her even now", "An image, caught forever", "Her name unknown", "...remains".
