Restless thoughts racing, tripping over one another
Rounding the grey corners at breakneck speed

Body willing, mind unable to settle
Mind unwilling, body unable to rest

Twitchy fingers, impatient to roam
Grasping the edge, holding on tight

Pleasurable torture of anticipation
Heavy, humid air caressing skin

Sweet tranquility in a simple touch
Cool strength, grasping, kneading

Apprehension running through sinew and bone
Trickling out fingertips rolling away to nothingness

Implicit trust balanced on a knife’s edge
Scraping away the detritus of fear

Darkness covering windows of the soul
The peace of sweet surrender

Sweet, Mags!

I like it.. very tense and edgy.
