Bowling

I go bowling once a week with Bob, Bill, John, and Salvy,
We belong to a league, The Single Men’s Ten Pin, and bowl at Thunder Alley,
Some girls found out about us bowling once a week and came in to take a peek.
Now, any time we want to bowl in peace, we have to sneak.

Bob is dating Brenda; she has pink lips and ponytail,
Bill’s on his honeymoon to Bermuda, he sailed away with Gail,
John is Mister Don Juan, out with a different girl each night,
Salvy’s expecting junior on his way in a fortnight.

I’ll never join a league again; the only single man left in the alley,
To find a game with single men the same I had to drive beyond the valley.
That’s where I met my girl; she bowled a perfect ten pin game,
Now, bowling as husband and wife in the married league, we share the same last name.
