Breath of beans and leaves
mixing with yours of intoxication
in a kiss
such saccharin in twining.
You speak to me
of love and forever,
yet your words are lost
to my knowing ears.
You speak to me
of completion and long felt feelings,
yet your words are lost
to my stone heart.
How can you love me,
when you know only the good?
How can you reach me,
when you’ve placed me up so high?
How can you touch me,
when my flesh is not for you?
Breath of beans and leaves
mixing with yours of intoxication
in a kiss
such saccharin in twining.
