Bright star in the Heavenly sky

byDebbie©

(Dedicated to "A lady of
courage, love and a wonderful inner spirit.")

"Star Light,
Star Bright,
First Star I see tonight,
Wish I may, wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight!"

Under starry sky and crescent Moon
A soul passes on, leaving her body
She floats, looking down at her shell
Letting go of Earthly grasp she rises
Toward, bright light and tugging pull

Hearing behind her voices, she turns
Seeing her loved ones, mourning her
Her soul hesitates, torn in between
Kin hugging her lifeless, empty husk
They cry out, but love and carry on

Hovering, her soul observes awhile
Ensuring all will continue to be well
Her children loved, she is remembered
Often spoken of and happy pics shown
Good memories kept by her small children

Her motherly love is not replaced
But her loving, good work carries on
Her soul feels the constant tug, tug
Letting go, now 'tis heaven bound
A struggle ensues, the tugging wins

Moonlight beams light the departing way
Ascending to the angels, blessed spirit arises
The inner beauty and serene presence shows
A beautiful soul touched and loved by so many
Towards the bright light, sweet Angel to be

In Heaven you are warmly welcomed
Embraced by loved ones; passed on
Heralding trumpets and happy fanfare
Now you have wings and a halo that glows
And a place on the Earth observation deck

Below, upon Earth, your loved ones grow
Into fine young people, secure in your love
Many times they stop, thinking of Mommy
Looking up, imagining the brightest star is you
To the brightest star in the blue Heavens
