Eyes unneeded to see
Shedding too many a tear
Yearning to be free
Alone in the night
While your next to me
Absent from the fight
Until a heart no longer weeps for thee
River in drought
Bed becomes sand
Drowned in doubt
Taste turned bland
Too long the status quo
Changing to the same
Opaque the glow
Censure and blame
Await the carnage of the end
By the dearth of touch devastated
Already it is myself whom I depend
All these years wasted
and the message i can relate to. i especially like the *quo and glow* of the rhyme. over all...nice job......don
if you look back and think you have wasted your life, then that is when it is time to fix it.
I can only echo RhymeFairy's comment,
such a sad poem written so elegantly.
River in drought
Bed becomes sand
Drowned in doubt
Taste turned bland
Wonderful Imagery,
more pls!
Thanks.
