The mirror has cracked from side to side
Broken shards of my life
Lie scattered beneath my feet
Tiny rivulets of blood
Seep slowly across the ice-cold tiles
Scarlett pathways of pain meet
Converging into a river of my tears
All my fears
Came to fruition
In a bitter harvest of regret
All that I gave you my love
Was never enough

Still you left.

~~

Concur with U_P's thought — that last line seems to diminish all that precedes. Leaving it off helps make the sadness expressed more universal.

Aww...

Very sad. Pulled my heart-strings.

broken

very sad imagery here-I can almost feel the pain-the only thing I see is the last line seems unnecessary
