I want to snuggle up
Next to your flawed heart
And make friends with
Your cirrhosis-spotted liver.

I want to wrap around
Your hemorrhaged stomach
And lay my head
On your obstructed arteries.

And, I would hope that with
This attention paid
To your damned parts,
That you'd stop seeing a monster.

And, I would hope that you'd
Stop killing yourself,
Numbing yourself,
Hating and hiding your thrashed soul.

Let me love your broken bits
So you can love them, too.
And, you can love me.
And then I can learn to love myself.
