Broken Dreams

Silences wrap't in chords of fluted glances,
cacophonies crackle in crinkled
crashes of crazed crassness
The stonied calls of slighted boys,
the sleepy looks of sated girls
the slightly rotund swells of disparate minions
marching slowly
slip-keyed roused fervors of
nighting-galed nurses

Twisted was the frond, gasping
the hewn channeled troughs
like becalmned sails
over fused silica

Fused? caked solid, no water anywhere
While cloying muds clung to chappals of broken dreams
lifted - strewn like many
colored bangles glass
littered in shards of prism'd lightings

we sat saw wondered
wrote pledges ensconced
slipped into skidded cymbals
Sounding silently
