He is visiting me today
My lost friend
I stop, frozen, waiting
The pain will pass

We must coexist someplace else
Mingle
Always present
Forever out of reach

Here
Now
I watch
Suspended, as if already
A ghost
As the guardian of his mind
Buries me deep

Buries me alive
In the tombs in his
Mind
And walks away
Over and over

I am a creature of the light
So I return
Over and over
As welcome to him
As anything
That crawls out of a grave
Bury me again
Deeper this time
Pave it over
And still, I am here
In the light
Loving you
