Moon light through a window.
A soft glow across the wall.
True red as the color of blood.
Darkness hides secrets fall.

Nobody knows and never will tell.
A mystery hides in the shadows.
A tale to be told only if they knew.
How much blood, only the dead knows.

A crime to be solved and a story told.
But after midnight everything is hidden.
Blood spills like in a horror like film.
The things acted upon here forbidden.

When the new day begins with new life.
Maybe secrets will be told of the past.
The happenings and events of one night.
When there was life in that room last.

Happiness and joy filled the room first.
A dance and a song was the last to see.
When the moon rises things take change.
Now a crazed soul with a blade to cut free.

His work done in shadows and darkness.
A life he hid well not wanting others to know.
The butchers delight with such a dark desire.
Cutting one limb from another as blood flows.

The beating heart he did not touch until last.
Slicing flesh from bone like it was delicate art.
The pool of blood left behind as a cold reminder.
A killers next stabbing could be your living heart.
