He stepped into the room and she tackled him.

*Ooof*

Stunned he felt them falling to the floor as time seemed to have turned to molasses;
he could see motes of dust in the air;
the light shown through them and her hair,
splayed out like golden threads all leading back to her face.

Oval, freckles, green eyes, wide green eyes, wild eyes that reached out to him
and poked through him like he was a butterfly pinned to a board.
Pinned, like the lovely agile form that took him from his feet and pinned him to the floor.

Perhaps it was the touch of her nails gently scratching down his neck
but time seemed to snap back into its proper place and his heart
which hadn't been beating a moment before was now pounding in his chest.
His arms, once frozen in place wrapped around her, his mouth finding hers, his tongue, hers.
