Xandria the Fairy Princess intently watched the coccoon

Patiently she waited, she knew it would emerge very soon

As the baby butterfly first spread her beautiful wings

Xandria pouted, "Why cannot I have such beautiful things?"

The baby butterfly said,"I was not always this beautiful like you.

I once was just an ugly pupa, never knowing if this body would do."

Xandria fluttered off and perched in the bloom of a flower

She cried and drank the sweet nectar for over an hour

She continued to drink until she was intoxicated

Why is my Princess of a life so complicated?

Should I banish this beautiful butterfly and retain my throne?

Maybe I'll just capture her and bring her to my home

Xandria dried her tears and collected a taste of sweet nectar as a gift

An offering of her delightfully tasting nectar should certainly lift

Xandria saw the baby's emotional cry and agreed to herself

As her duty as Princess, she should leave her jealousy upon the shelf

"Here, my beautiful companion of beauty so rare and so true,

I'm so, so sorry for ever thinking I could ever exceed you.

May I sleep with your wings all around me and know you love me too,

I really do love you and all of the wonderful things that you do

I knew you would be a heavenly butterfly, a creature so sweet

You are definitely the most beautiful little butterfly I ever did meet

Oh, precious little butterfly, if you just weren't a girl, I'd like to make you mine

But since you are not, I suppose I'll get along without you, I'll be just fine

The baby butterfly cradled Xandria with her gossamer wings all around

"Now there my Princess, do not cry, I do not like that sound

I do find you very attractive in many splenidid ways , yes it is true

But, I must confess. I'm looking for a girl just like you

If we had a beautiful butterfly fairy baby to bring out the best in us

Then a union between a butterfly and a Fairy Princess we need to discuss
