LEMONIA (F)LEAP EDELTRAUD => THROUGH NEED AND DECENCY (working title, maybe changing to:"ALATSI" VERSUS "AVRA PALM")

"AVRA PALM"
FRIDAY EVENING
20/6/2014

(To M.)
BYE-BYE, BIG SHIP

1
Bye-bye, big ship,
and have good trip,
one wave you fight,
the next you skip.

On blue, you glide,
and white foam,
you never hide
from the storm.

You know the wish
of every dream,
that floating bliss,
sailing up stream.

For this blue sky,
this endless deep,
don't ask my "why",
bye-bye, big ship.

2
Difficult to find meaning
in a silent afternoon,
I don't care which team is winning,
Mondial will finish soon.

I don't stand for Argentina,
for Japan or for Brazil,
for Poseidon or Athena,
for such strife I have no zeal.

I just care about a lover
who is better than myself,
and who's tune is crossing over
from the bass into treble clef.

1 (Da Capo)
Bye-bye, big ship,
and have good trip,
one wave you fight,
the next you skip.

For this blue sky,
this endless deep,
don't ask my "why",
bye-bye, big ship.

The he'll out of your second strophe the first was meh for me but the imagery and disdain for football over life is very good.

Thanks Ash!

What I mean is that I literally don’t care much about football. I live in a village facing south, ideal for watching the moon making silver the Libyan Sea. Mondial is taking place at the same time as this panoramic moon show this year in Crete time, but the tv screen is inside the taverna, while I'm seating outside, and so people turn their back to the moon and watch Argentina or Germany or whatever (sometimes I can hear them scream, I suppose a goal is a good substitute for an orgasm).

How is that for genius?

Pelegrino : you may Not stand for Argentina but

Messi scored a superb goal in the 91st. When his Iranian marker made the mistake of relaxin' just that wee amount by which Genius is ahead of mediocrity !!!
