The beautiful illustration of a Christmas tree decorated to the 'nines' really refreshes the Holiday Spirit. Loved the acrostic poem which fits like a glove with the picture of the Christmas tree.
Love that Christmas tree
Looks like one of mine - lost under all the tinsel.
Would make my ex- nuts, she wanted more tree than tinsel.
For future reference, here's a small suggestion to try when doing another acrostic - just my opinion and we've all got one, so if you don't like it, I'll just stick it up my opinion...
Christmas candles in every window
Holly displayed in lovely boughs
Red bows reflected on every reindeer nose
Icicles hung and everywhere aglow
Songs we sing of joy, let their choruses ring
Twinkling tree we use to celebrate
Many gifts given and received with love
Apple cider drunk to excess
Santa Claus on which all children wait
That's just a quick run through, but it should give you the idea.
I just did an Acrostic poem the other day spelling "Acristic Poetry" (downward) for practice, I enjoyed your poem.
