Who thinks his wife doesn't give a shit.
Her Poem
CAESAR'S WIFE MUST BE ABOVE SUSPICION
Caesar's wife doesn't suspect - she knows
And it's not just a feeling in her toes
He's visiting every other senator's wife
And says his secretary's writing his "Life"
He knows all about Egypt's mystic wiles
And his serpent isn't only the Nile's
The temple of Isis is handy for sin
He doesn't waste any time getting in
One rule for her, his he derides
Suspicion will only end on the Ides.

Angelineabout 8 years agoCongrats on a well-deserved E for this poem which is both clever and correct. I recently read a biography about Cleopatra that (obviously) included a lot about Julius Caesar, but your little poem is more fun to read. :-D
