Cast Down to a Sunless Sea

Do you realise how much a broken heart hurts?
Do you understand the pain of a shattered heart?
Do you comprehend the broken words,
that are like sharp daggers aimed at the heart?
Just caste me down to the sunless sea below.

I think of you every waking moment of my day,
I dream of you in vivid beautiful dreams at night,
My feelings wish for something more,
What does one have if not hope?
But one's hopes and dreams and ideas,
are easily crushed under the firm hand of reality.

So I am here, writting words on paper,
tears form running down my cheeks,
and i allow them the freedom of trickling down my cheeks.
For with every tear, with every word on paper,
I caste myself down to that sunless sea below.

With every word, with every tear, with every hope dashed,
Down to a sunless sea,
where the waiting depths await,
where the spirits sing in sweet voices
"Join us where the sun never shines, where darkness is lord"

Caste down to a sunless sea,
my soul now empty joins the spirits,
down in the ever sunless sea.
No more love, no more wanting, something that i can't ever have,
No more desiring you, no more dreams of sweetness,

My eyes look to the surface of the sunless sea,
and I see you, your laughs, your words, your face,
Oh you are so beautiful to me, even now,
I want to join you, but I know my place is not by you.

So I blow you a kiss, and see the kiss sail up,
cutting the surface of the calm sunless sea,
