Casualty

Crimson petals, like summer's heat,
Drifting, lingering to lay
Like heavy sheets, over my world
I reach, not towards the light
But yearning for forever,
that taste of something more
You hold me, in your gaze
Of eternal regret
I see it!
O Yes do I see it!
That pity that ye doth have for me
That sorrow that pains me...
That torment, that torment...
Was it me, I ask, straing, reaching
Yearning for a touch, a taste, a feeling
Anything, save this shattered world
Silence is all I receive, your pity shaking me
I rage, and scream, and cry to you
Thrash, and rage, I grab these chains
They hold me here, these chains of blame
Why have thou curst me so?
Why have thou abandoned me?
Why art thou?
And then, the crimson pulls back from thy smile
and I know,
In shame doth my head hang low,
Shattered, destroyed...
All for love..
Cold heartless a cruel..
All for you..
