Cataclysm Redux

byPVodogaz©

I opened my eyes this morning,
I felt an overpowering feeling of gratitude,
for the war between my heart and mind was over.
Purged were my dreams, let go were my wants,
replaced with the harsh reality of what was here and now.

I looked into my mirror and smiled.
The cataclysm that was the maelstrom of emotion ceased.
Now the power to live was in my hands,
not in the hands of others as it should of been always.

I know now, love finds you when you least expect it,
Never rush destiny, be patient and all will be revealed.
For now, ahead of me is my fate....
