CHANGE OF PLAN
Sniff of Autumn in the air
Young enough to know better
Suddenly one night you're there
Like you never went away
Then you're asking me to play
I had other plans back then
I can't remember quite what you said
I only remember how you looked
Tall and blonde and dangerous
I remember that you had me hooked
You asked me if I'd run away
I laughed, I knew I'd have to stay
My future was set where I was
When my plans didn't work out
I thought about you a lot
Where I put your number, I forgot
It's been a long time now, since that starry night, when
Keep in touch was your parting shot
But I never saw you again
