(Composed on Eid day, a Muslim festival)

Now dawns the happy day
-- and darkness descends within
Blinded by the bleak, sterile hours ahead
The eye seeks refuge in what has been

That familiar footfall
Gently holding sway
Somewhere between the heart and me
That fragrant presence
A guileless, friendly foe
That simple challenge supreme
Ordaining surrender for its prize

Tender tyrannies
Giving
-- of self untaught
Whetting
-- the appetite for life
Enhancing
-- the scope of being!

You
-- will be remembered!

A poignant read of an absent love.

Surprising . . .

In this day and age, someone can still express the unadulterated emotion of love so simply and yet in so telling a manner. Very well done!

So Poignant

Emotions and how they effect those who are sensitive . . .Odeee expresses this with great facility and economy of words
