Gossamer fabric of far off laughter
Warm vital amnion
Surrounding denuded, dependant present
In cool, comforting dark womb of night
I never knew
The presence of the past
Would shore up the failing heart
And yet
Spell slow, sweet madness for the mind
Bright, beckoning shadow in the dark
You
Sharing thoughts and dreams of days to come
Soft whispers
-- and unforced free assent
Eloquent looks and perfumed breath
A vision of life that's never ben lived
( and hence, knows no death )
The mien, the gait, the fragrance yours
Lifts the heart, the spirit soars
And then breaks day
Breaks everything
Odd, but delightful phrasing here. I had seen Che Sara Sara III and also found it appealing, making me wonder of 1, 2 and 4. Excellent poem. (you might want to fix one typo... ben vs. been).
