and worn out ideals
acid rain
and gasoline rainbows
(the stray cat
comes and goes
like a Cheshire feeling)
anathema
anathema
watered down philosophy
and feel-good irony,
the great metaphoric marathon
picking up where it started
going in circles
in and out the door,
burn it down
less is more

greenmountaineeralmost 13 years agoCatchy rhythm with just a little rhyme tossed in. A bit too disparate for my taste, but I gather that's the point as mentioned in L12-15.
