CHILD OF THE SHADOW DANCE
As a child
She danced in shadows deep
Behind her self made screen
Each step of the dance
Played perpetual
In the theatre of her mind
Nobody listened
Nothing was done………………………….So the dance of the shadows went on
In mourning for her innocence
She took it as her own
Laying claim
To the shadow dancers tune
The curtains raised
The floodlights lit
For thousands of nameless
Faceless men
Intoxicated she dance on
Until………………………………………She’d danced the shadows DEAD
