I travel through the snow covered wood
To where I do not know
Listening to the wind through the trees
watching their branches sway to and frow

It is barely light and yet I continue on
To a place that I know not
I seek the adeventure that lays and awaits my arrival, like a sleeping child through the wood.

As night falls I have cleared the trees, and have settled on a pure white glen. I see in the distance a family of deer as they russel through the snow to get to the lush green grass beneath its cold blanket.

I become aware that I am not alone, and fear fills my soul
I hear the cry of a lonely wolf, as it cries for its mate in the far off distance.
I now how the shepherds must have felt that first night as they travelled that long road with only a star to guide them.

I come upon a cottage and see that it is empty
Who does this belong to I ask myself, surely they would not mind if I warmed myself by their fire they have lit

Who is this a dark stranger in the darkness is beckoning me to carry on toward the cottage, but I do not know this place. I do not know him

Do I trust him or do I move on?? This question dogs my mind as I trudge forward going against my little voice of caution in my head.

I open the door and am blinded by a bright light
I open my eyes to see that I am dead

Well, what can I say? That's a kick in the ass ending!
