The wind speaks to me,
I try not to listen,
I don't like what it says.

My family speaks
the sound is as hollow as the wind,
as if rehearsed too much.

Everyone says tomorrow is important
I see just another day.
Somewhere the cycle was broken,
I didn't answer the phone.

The toy broke one Christmas day,
so long ago.
