Starting to sweat like the convicted,
Feeling like a speeding snail,
I wobble on a life line.
Vertigo -- is dark death.

The canvas canopy is supported
by a transportable tree.
Rakish music fills the theater.
Painted faces
                     flip,
                            tumble,
                              dive,
causing expected laughter
from a sea of hyenas.

Demons are abated by snapping snakes
and a butt rest.
Stripes lurk and manes roar.
Fiery rings await intercourse.
A head is swallowed in a chorus--
       Oow
              Aah
                     Ooh...
