I do believe in clichés
In eyes meeting
Across a smoky room
In seductive smiles
And secrets shared without words

I do believe in pain
The ache when you aren’t here
In anticipation of your call
The excitement in your voice
And the smile in your eyes when you come through the door

I do believe in clichés
Things like love at first sight
Chemistry and eternally bound
To one set of lips, to one heart
And to you, made a slave, made a master, made into all.

The clichés of life that mean everything's right.

If only...

Even for all us cynics, it's hard not to hope and believe that such situations actually do exist.
