I can't deny the end at last has come
Lonely calls not returned and mail unsent
Once swift, my race to you is finally run
Venice lost, no backward glance, no lament
Empty, not of love for I love you still
Yet wondering why you refused to believe
Our passion, first so hot and then so chill
Used, tasting like our love had been deceived
Made you choose a new life, made me choose mine
And now no hope the two shall ever meet
Gingerly, we tread paths no more aligned
Grins and tears are our standard in defeat
I now accept there’s but one thing to do,
Embrace the love yet purge my lust for you.

Break it - damn you, show it. You have some shaky lines, last line is killer.
