Rose Anne-Marie

We bumped elbows after breakfast, touched fingers with our coffee,
Helped each other's lips to drink and told each other, "Maybe."
At lunch we tasted each other, just a little, it was just a ruse.
Then all afternoon we sucked and hugged and never tried to cease.
I know your throat and you know mine, our bodies were so close that time.
But for dinner we went home once more, to your old dad, me my aged mum.

Let's meet in twenty years said you, but that time is overdue.
Twenty years too late but if your'e still on earth Rose, how are you?
