Coffin

Another nail in my coffin tonight.
I think you enjoy slowly killing me.
Do you enjoy the look in my eyes, when you show up unannounced?
I look so scared, but you laugh and mingle with the others.
The lid is getting tight, and my breath is becoming shallow
I fight and scratch to get out, but you shovel the dirt on top.
Please let me go. Please stop this torment, Please let me out.

The wood splinters, and creeks under the weight.
The weight of 8 years of loving you, just to be left cold and alone for another
Does she know you are building a pine box for her?
You hide it from her deep in your mind.

I can feel the top giving way, it will not be long now and the pain will end.
