Snow falls from the cold, cold sky
The sparrows song has flown away
Chasing warmth across skies of silence
Leaving us to sing winter's song of solace

Evening stars hang upon truths and lies
Even after time has said all its goodbyes
To her, to him, to all that painfully reminds
To the sun, to the moon, to all left behind

Snow falls from the cold, cold sky
Burying fears beneath a blanket of calm
Silence has been repealed from prohibition
Long lost dreams are being put on exhibition

Walking on leaving behind all that's gone
I hold myself quietly inside mornings dawn
Even when silence threatens to slow me
I'll keep going inside winds secretly knowing

Snow falls from the cold, cold sky
Airborne thoughts linger in mid-air
Leaving life still and unprotected
When love leaves so unexpected

A trails of hearts longing and broken
Filled with emotions left unspoken
Lead back to life's bittersweet truth
Where loneliness dwells beyond youth

Snow falls from the cold, cold sky
Icicles form intricate webs of delicate beauty
Time freezes memories inside winter's start
Promising hope's return before spring departs

Even after childhood dreams disappeared
Love's hidden memories still live on here
Inside a heart that repeatedly falls and tries
When all life has to offer is more goodbyes
