Cold Winter's Passion
If only I could live again to see your eyes blazing like that night
Fire that ignited me, sending a burning caress, flaming silk down my spine
Dreaming of the long time past, chasing the memory like my last breath
As that night had dimmed, morning threatening, you forced me close
Down on the frozen soil, raging breaths and deafening hearts
The ice on my skin melted away at your touch
Tears slide down my aging cheeks
as I remember the soft whispers you had slipped into my ears
Words of such desperate longing
I remember the prickle, the stubble on your chin as it raked against delicate flesh
In that moment the emotion inside me ripped away
the threads of my failing sanity
As blood trickled from your lips, a bitter sweet smile on your face
I pulled my hand away, a river of blood in its wake;
Soaking my hands, my chest
That night I liberated you
I close my now unseeing eyes
If only you were here on this cold night to do the same for me
