Distant glances,
 an all too known grasp,

Heartfelt flutters,
 a primitive clasp.

With compassion and willingness,
Outstretched hands these be.

For once feeling content,
Now that friendship completes me.

Needing nothing more.

In view, a beacon of sorts,
Within this life a strand of hope.

A coveted friend,
Companion with to cope.

Sitting here elated,
A bond no deed can break.

Nothing can falter,
No one can take.
