From Epicurus, I learned that if one is not conscious after life, then the dead do not suffer.
From Discover, I learned that early women ate after the men and were often under-nourished.
From Dumas, I learned that life is wonderful outside a dungeon.
From Fischer, I learned that the best move is the one your opponent isn't ready for.
From Shakespeare, I learned that it's harder to play a man than a flute.
From the bible, I learned that one can see one's way to heaven with one eye.
From Durant, I learned of the majestic, martial life of Cervantes.
From Swift, I learned that though men have the spark of God in them, they also have evil far surpassing apes.
From my Grandpa, I learned that the Jeopardy contestant who writes his name the largest usually wins.
From Nirvana, I learned to look on the bright side, though for me that's not suicide.
From the Yogic tradition, I learned that we are at the beginning of a noble age of energy.
But I had to learn about concrete from Delirium Tremens, jail cells, and sad looks from true friends.
I pray it isn't too late to build something.
