Midnight skies and whispered voices
Stars and moonlight, wished for choices
Silent kisses and torrential screams
And your name echoes freely as the current's streams.

Never again to hide, play the game this way
Merely to enjoy your body and the music you play.
Deep inside what the desert had taken
You drew water and nourished land I thought was forsaken.

You've given me cause to smile and heal
Silently I wish and wait for what's real.
You've given me reason to doubt what is true
Spiritually, magically, this message from you.

I cannot understand the purpose of this
Of that desire I have for your delectable kiss

This can't be wrong when my body's on fire
You stimulate my mind and pulled my spirit from the mire.

If only to touch for one single night
To be able to give in, and give up the fight

You've released a part of this simple life
That was daughter and slave and sister and wife

But in all these that are pieces of me
There is a part of me that I forgot to be

You've given it a place and a light to see by
The water from your soul feeds mind, heart and eye

Let me return to the time before time
When all I wanted I claimed as mine
