I'm set adrift on your exhalations
this morning
shifting through a thousand panes
of sleep and awake.
Wishing to sink so deep into you
as to forget my weary self.

simply

lovely. a gentled piece that embraces potential for more turbulence with the use of 'confluence' as its title.

not sure why, but my mind keeps reading 'shifting' as 'sifting'
