Quietly You entered
standing by the door
watching
You catch my eye
brief but pleasant word exchange
'conventional sex only'
You wait
watching my dance
listening to my chatter
allowing me to settle
like the feather to the ground
I was drawn to your picture
quiet elegance
understated strength
disappointed with
'conventional sex only'
You chose me
to share
a touch of your life
we sought a private room
far from the meaningless distractions
and faced each other fingertip to fingertip
You let slip the veil ever so slightly
to let me see in
standing on my tiptoes
allowed me to share a moment with you
glimpsing the possible
You gently squeezed my heart
and made it go
giving it impetus to beat
