As each new day approaches,
as the old one's almost done..
I stop and count my blessings,
slowly...one by one.

I'm blessed with my health,
that's a major one.
I'm blessed as a mother,
for I have a loving son.

I'm blessed with my many friends,
and with the sun that shines each day.
My list of blessings never ends!
I'm lucky, I would say.

I'm blessed with my mom and dad,
my sisters and my brothers.
I'm blessed with more good days, then bad.
I count the good ones, not the others.

I blessed with the skills I have,
like writing to name one.
But if I have to name them all,
this poem would not get done...

I'm blessed that I can volunteer my time,
to those who are in need.
And I'm blessed by the way I feel..
for having done the deed.

I'm blessed to be young at heart,
and to have an open mind.
I'm blessed in being lucky,
and that life's, so far, been kind.

I'm blessed by all of this and more,
and say my thanks each day.
I count my blessings, and thank the Lord,
for the blessings that come my way.
