Colors float by
Thoughts marked by your heat,
Broken, empty dreams

A coyote speaks
Path cluttered by rocks
He stays far from the fence
Howling what needs to be heard

You touch where I can't
I speak through you, to you
Sharing, when it needs to be heard

Mind back to my dream
Rocks slipping underfoot,
Falling towards the fence
Looking through it

To you, to me

As I lay there
Reaching out

Falling

Into the light
Away from the rocks
To the river of dust below

Hands reach out,
Yours? Mine? I can't tell

I lie there
Reaching out
No sight, no sound
Touch only

Arms around me
Alone, not lonely

Yours? Yes

Oh God, If only...

Dreams through the night
Your night
My life

Quiet as moon gives way to light

I reach out
You reach in

Another day begins
Colors float by
Waiting for the night.
