We sat together on your couch
laughing, sharing, comfortable.
And the words unspoken
spoke volumes
about our short-lived frienship.
I wanted you then
but you didn't want me.
No, you only needed me
and I was not to be needed.
So there we sat,
charming each other
and talking through the
cracks in the wall
we built together.
