She stands there, before the window
Looking out into moonlight laid bare
Her gaze following the twinkling of stars
As cold breezes dance in her flaming hair

Her silken robe luminescent at night
Her skirts swirling about her bare toes
A single tear trails across her cheekbone
As she sways, lonely in dance, to and fro

Porcelain skin caressed by the gentle breezes
Hair stroking her face, illuminated by moonlight
Her eyes, midnight dark, mirrors to her soul
Her arms crossed against herself, holding, hugging tight

He watches her there, gazes at her beauty, lost
He aches to touch, to soothe, to breathe her inside
Eyes smoldering black, air electric between them
For her, he would die once more, alone not to abide

Whispers on the night, caressing, soft
Wrapping themselves around her, destiny won
He tells her, with a touch, a kiss, a glance
For Eternity, they will be as one, just one

“A crimson rose, in midnight’s grace”
Whispered as he caresses her face…
