Three roads diverged on a beaten plain,
The dust of travel thick upon me
and pain it there inflamed my brain
to see the emptiness on all three.
The long hard miles each looked the same.

And there I considered each in turn,
the right, the left, the long center if it could,
until there, my eyes began to truly burn.
I looked for flower's, yellow wood, anything that struck me good,
but the dust and light, in empty flight my sight did spurn.

No flower's there, nor here, nowhere,
perhaps o'er yonder hill, if I wish, and soldier onward,
life, the grass, the bird, its song, will in haste to me repair.
or not and I along shall wander, long and long, and long, and longer,
So I sit under a tree and ponder this, life's deadly snare.

For I know I must, night is coming, each second squandered,
yet where to go to alight those streams of healing grace,
the ones I've seen there in my dreams, I pondered.
There is no choice, yet I must choose and leave, for staying here is just a waste...
Yet my soul yearns to choose aright, perhaps I'll stay awhile longer...
