I, feel the eyes watching me
As I walk alone
Down the crowded street
Down the crowded street

I see the sun in the sky
I feel the rain on my cheek
As I walk alone I can hear my feet
Walking down the streets alone

I feel the wind through my hair
As I walk alone down the crowded street
And I sing my song in the crowded street
Alone Alone

Is it the way I talk or the way I walk
That makes me feel so alone
And I don’t know why it makes me cry
On the crowded street alone

I know I shouldn’t moan to be alone
But it makes me cry and I’m not sure why
All I do know is that I love you so
But you’re not here now on this crowded street

I turn to you to say something sweet
But I forget you’re not on this crowded street
This crowded street, being the crowded world
Inside my crowded mind, inside my very soul.
