in a world so vast,
there is so much suffering,
pain and starvation is all around
can you see the childrens tears?
flowing, flowing on down their face.
straight from their eyes so wide?
see the emptiness in their look?
the plead with these eyes,
can you help us?
please stop our tears, our pain.
they reach out to you, begging so.
you cannot look too long, so you turn.
confused by all thats done and is wrong
orphans all of them now.
no one to come home to,
all alone in this world so big and cruel,
from the things some humans do.
all this war has done
lives are stopped,
childrens innocence gone.
brought into adult troubles
no longer can play like the once did.
now just striving to make it another day,
and not understanding what happened.
why would a world so big, pick on them.
no moms or dads to love them, hug them
show them what to do.
so lost they do feel in this cruel world.
help is there, just show them that you care.
