If treasured currency opens her purse,
She'll not question the rate: she can account
For adoration's rule, she's not averse
To usury: her heart's richness can count
On interest that's tender; if she's kissed
She will exchange lips pressed against her own;
If coinage is inflated, she'll insist
On leverage, but love cashes the loan;
He banks her favours and awaits surrender
Of notes she offers crisply; their allure
Will not induce a theft by a contender
For her box, where the wealth is held so sure:
If her silk purse is opened, plundered, pleasured,
She'll know his currency is to be treasured.
