As she coils around my leg
Bringing with her the ancient
Healing spirit of Snake
Moving to the music
I embrace my dance with snake
Welcoming her into my spirit, into my soul
Moving in and out she brings with her
The message of beauty
Weaving beauty within me
Weaving beauty around me
Coiled around my heart
I feel her tongue flickering
To touch the deepest scars
Then she bites, swallowing
All of my pain
Filling me up with love
And leaving room for only light.
