Shadow Angel

The night is quiet
The streets deserted
A low lying mist takes form
You feel a slight chill
Sending a tingle up and down your spine

Walking slowly
Not knowing
You come upon an old cemetery
Long forgotten… your fear rises
But your curiosity wins…

You push slightly
The iron gate creaks loudly
It’s protest screaming
A small light flickers…calling
Here and there you’re wandering
Aimlessly, deeper and farther

You feel a light breeze
Like a lover’s hand caressing
Your eyes fluttering
A beautiful mirage appearing

Dressed in deep dark colors
Her long dark tresses fall
Partially covering her face
Her eyes slowly open
Drinking you in
Wandering slowly up your warm body
Until reaching your eyes

Surprised you are
For they’re not dark
But the most beautiful blue eyes you’ve ever seen
Her skin the color of honey
She moves slowly
Seductively
Raising her arm gracefully
Her long slender fingers adorned beautifully
Beckoning….

You step timidly
Afraid of what might be
Afraid not to believe
That this might not be real
Sweet jasmine on the cool night air
A gentle whisper reaches your ear
Have no fear
All will be as it should
Your past, your present

An overwhelming peace
Contentment you’ve sought
For years upon years with no rest
Weary and worn
You’ve finally found the peace of mind
In the arms of a Shadow Angel
With the powers of Black Magic

For her magic holds you tight
But does not bind you physically
For it’s not metal, rope or cloth
It takes no form
For the hold she has is love
No power on earth or heaven above
Can you be released from
In this life… just like the last
