Wings of such warmth and softness
To cause a mortal to weep...
Enveloping those of need
wherever , whenever the need is cried out...
in the darkest of night,
in broad daylight...

A shunned and forgotten child,
a battered woman losing hope,
A grown man facing a choice of love or lust,
a teen giving up hope of never finding love for another or themselves,
all have felt the encasing of such tenderness.

Never asking for anything in return
Not wanting anything for herself
Her heart untouched
pure of soul
yet cast out
for loving a demon
who was once a mortal
damaged and blackened of soul
sent to administer to the abandoned and hopeless.

She stands alone
comforting herself
winds drying her tears
that she sheds for the masses
scarred by her fall to this earthly plane
she waits
for the ever falling tears
of those lost and broken
holding them gently in her arms
rocking them gently
wrapping in them in her wings
holds them close to her
as her voice calms and refills their heart
with strength to face the blaring light of day.
