When lost in her dark beauty, then I see
The world is not as bad as one might think;
It really isn't painted black to be
A dismal place for man can surely drink
In prettiness, as all pressure subsides
And life is sweet again; and we can dream
Out loud and, thus, concoct such lovely rides:
She's mine mount and take. I'd hear her scream
With happiness – her laughter's a delight;
Despite the steady rain pouring outside,
The stars are in brown eyes; and she'll ignite
That starry feeling, which she has supplied
Me with, in every respect; despite cost:
I see dark beauty, and I know I'm lost

Your work is always enjoyable to read, S.O., with its twists or turns that make one pause and reflect.
